Doodh Pak

ALMONDS ½ CUP
MILK 1 LITRE
SUGAR 250 GM
CARDAMOM POWDER 1 TSP
SAFFRON 1 TSP
PISTACHIOS 1 TSP
RAISINS 11/2 TSP

METHOD:

  1. Soak the almonds in warm water for one hour.
  2. Peel and grind to a fine paste. Dissolve the saffron in 1 tsp of warm milk and keep aside.
  3. Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed pan , stirring constantly.
  4. Add the almond paste and simmer for 30-35 mins,stirring regularly.
  5. Add the saffron , sugar , pista and raisins. Cook on a very low flame till thick. Sprinkle cardamom powder.
  6. Serve doodh pak hot or chilled.
