Dum Bhindi

BHINDI ½ KG
TOMATOES 250 GM
CAPSICUM 150 GM
ONIONS 2 LARGE
CHILLI POWDER ¼ TSP
TURMERIC POWDER ¼ TSP
REFINED OIL 150 GM
MUSTARD OIL
SALT TO TASTE

METHOD:

  1. Wash and dry bhindi.Cut off the top and tail and keep aside.
  2. Coarsly chop onions,capsicum and tomatoes.
  3. In a kadhai heat the oil and deep the bhindis.
  4. Reduce the quantity of oil in the kadhai to half.Fry chopped onions till they turn to a golden pink colour.
  5. Add tomatoes and capsicum and stir well.
  6. Add the fried bhindi,salt ,chilli powder and turmeric powder.
  7. Cook for 10 mins with the covered lid.
  8. Serve hot with chapattis.
