Sukhi Channa Dal

CHANNA DAL 1 CUP
ONIONS(FINELY CHOPPED) 2
FENUGREEK LEAVES(FINELY CHOPPED) 1 TSP
CINNAMON STICK 1 PIECE
CARDAMOMS 2-3
CLOVES 2-3
BAY LEAVES 1-2
PEPPER POWDER ½ TSP
CUMIN SEEDS 1 TSP
TURMERIC POWDER ½ TSP
LEMON JUICE 1 TSP
SUGAR ½ TSP
GHEE 2 TSP

METHOD:

  1. Clean and soak dal for 15 mins.Boil with turmeric powder  and salt with 5 cups water till soft and drain the water.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon,cloves,cumin seeds and  cardamoms.
  3. Add onions and fry till golden brown.
  4. Add dal,sugar,bay leaves,fenugreek leaves,pepper powder and lemon juice.Stir well.
  5. Donot mash up dal too much.
  6. Serve hot with paranthas,naan ad rice.
